Our Mandate

The Association is committed to the following objectives:

a) Promoting gender equity and equal opportunities by eliminating discrimination based on sex, race, tribe, religion, ideology, or any other grounds.

b) Uniting all Judicial staff across all grades and qualifications within Kenya’s Judiciary.

c) Fostering positive relationships among members, as well as between the Judicial Service Commission and other key stakeholders.

d) Encouraging collaboration among Judiciary staff and judicial officers to collectively articulate their views and interests on matters affecting justice delivery.

e) Participating in activities that enhance the administration of justice in Kenya.

f) Establishing and managing funds through membership fees, voluntary contributions, subscriptions, levies, and secured loans, as regulated by the National Executive Committee.

g) Engaging in policy development and Judiciary management by advocating for fair representation in the Judicial Service Commission and other decision-making bodies.

h) Upholding high professional and ethical standards among members to protect the integrity of the Judiciary.

j) Promoting training and development by securing resources, funding, and support for members’ professional and educational advancement.

k) Collaborating with other organizations on shared interests and undertaking joint action where beneficial.

l) Affiliating with relevant bodies, including the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA), and Kenya Women Judges Association (KWJA), among other, that benefit admiration of justice.

m) Seeking legal advice and support on matters affecting the association or its members, with the National Executive Committee determining the appropriateness of such actions.

n) Advocating for fair recruitment, review, and promotion of Judicial staff based on merit and competitive standards.

o) Disseminating relevant information to members through publications, journals, books, and other materials that support the association’s goals.

p) Providing assistance to members in times of distress, victimization, or need, including support for immediate dependents, as approved by the National Executive Council.

q) Acquiring and managing assets, including property, through purchase, lease, or other lawful means, with approval from the Annual or Special General Meeting.
